Bucks County Schools on Lockdown

Chief Daniel Friel of Warrington Township Police said the day started with a tip call from someone on the 2500 block of County Line Road who said he found Selby on his property. Bucks County dispatchers said police didn't tell the schools to go on lockdown.

As of 9 a.m., police were still searching for Selby.

The following schools have been placed on lockdown as a precaution.

The search for an escaped prisoner has led the Central Bucks School District to cancel all classes. He now potentially faces a felony charge for escaping and an assault charge for pushing the deputy.

Police in Bucks County's Doylestown Township said in a message on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon that 25-year-old Daniel Selby had been taken into custody.

Selby Jr.is still at large and was repotedly dropped off by his father at Broad Street and Allegheny Avenue in Philadelphia at approximately 1 p.m. Monday, according to Warrington Township Police.

He is described as a 6-foot white male with brown hair and a scruff beard.

The overnight search led to authorities requesting residents in Doylestown and other nearby communities to shelter in place in their homes.
