The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has rejected an appeal by Spanish giants Atletico Madrid to overturn their transfer window ban.
The club appealed, but CAS have today stuck by their original decision, leaving Diego Simeone's side unable to sign anybody until January of 2018.

Interestingly, many see Manchester United's attempt to sign Lukaku means Ibrahimovic is on his way out of the club.
As Atletico Madrid can not sign any players this summer and in the January transfer window next year, the Champions League semi-finalist will certainly not want to lose their star players now as they will not be able to sign a replacement till next summer.
The trickle down effect of United's abandoned bid for Griezmann will be felt across the transfer market, with Lacazette now potentially a target for Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal once again. The Belgian scored 25 league goals this season and would definitely fit the bill for the club's main summer signing.
"They applied the same measure to us as Barcelona, but not as Real Madrid - there was discrimination in the treatment". The club have been contemplating Griezmann's signing, and triggering the player's £87 million release clause.
