'Baahubali 2' Hindi version surpasses lifetime collection of 'Dangal'


Talking about the Hindi films that have been released so far this year, none were able to make an impact post Badrinath Ki Dulhania which crossed the Rs 100 crore mark.

Baahubali: The Conclusion, which recently became the first Indian move to earn Rs 1000 crore worldwide has achieved another milestone. Infact, as per the sources, the vital ground work for the adaptation of Baahubali 2 as a television series has already been started. Meanwhile, the Hindi version of Baahubali: The Conclusion has made a major contribution with Rs 460 crores to the overall figure, as reported by Taran Adarsh.

The shooting for the Baahubali 2 television series will be done at the Ramouji Film City, Hyderabad and will be dubbed in many languages just like the film.

According to Ramesh Bala, a movie industry tracker, the total earnings of the movie up to Wednesday are Rs 1475 crore.

A lot has been said and written about the tremendous success of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 and its record shattering run at the box office.

The Rs 300 crore club has been long surpassed by this mega blockbuster and set a benchmark of Rs 400 crore bracket. With its release in over 6500 screens exclusively in India and over 9000 screens across the world - the highest for an Indian film till date, this movie continues to have a phenomenal run at the box office.

Meanwhile, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is eyeing $ 20 million at the U.S. box office.
