Over 18,000 graduates and their families listened to Trump speak as the first president to address a Liberty graduation since George H.W. Bush in 1990. All-in-all, it was a forgettable speech for those looking for headlines, but one that went over well with a crowd that consistently loudly applauded the president. Trump also commended war heroes and athletes, and at one point read off Liberty's 2018 football schedule, a commendation of the future of the university's athletic program.

"Just wait until the world hears the football teams you'll be playing on your schedule starting next season", Trump said.
"As long as I am president, no one is ever going to stop you from practicing your faith or preaching what's in your heart", Trump said.
"Remember this: Nothing worth doing ever, ever, ever came easy", he said. He's trying - if people give him a chance, you know.More news: YouTube Live Streaming Drops Subscriber Limit

And while his endorsement of the real estate mogul was personal, Falwell's position as university president resulted in Liberty University becoming loosely entangled in Trump's campaign, which did not sit well with everyone at the university.
