Microsoft Surface Pro 4 refresh images leaked, may launch on May 23

With the addition of Kaby Lake processors, it seems likely that Microsoft will have different configurations options available of the new Surface Pro.

Ahead of the event, writer and serial leaker Evan Blass has revealed a number of images of the upcoming device which drops the numbering and is to be known simply as the Surface Pro.

According to a report by Venture Beat, the refresh version of the Window 10-powered tablet will be known as Surface Pro.

Although rumors pointed to a May 23rd release for the next Surface Pro tablet, Microsoft was pretty clear on the matter and said less than two weeks ago that it would not launch the Surface Pro 5 until " it can bring meaningful changes". The new Surface Pro will go live on May 23 in Shanghai and will go on sale next month, while pre-orders will begin with the launch itself. The photos above and below suggest that the new Surface Pro will look very similar to the former.

What appears to be new additions to this device are its accessories.

The Surface Pro 4 was first released back in October 2015. Although the Surface Laptop proves to be a worthy competitor to Google's Chromebook lineup, there's no doubt that uses were hoping to catch a glimpse of the company's next-generation Surface Pro. He said that the company did not want to launch a product with just upgraded specifications and label it as the next generation Surface Pro. However, there is every possibility that the Redmond giant could roll out an update of the current Surface Pro, without actually naming it as the Surface Pro 5.
