Katrina: American Crime Story Casts Dennis Quaid as George W. Bush

The second season is being based off the novel The Great Deluge: Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast by Douglas Brinkley.

Dennis Quaid will play him in the anthology series.

Quaid joins a heavy-hitting cast that includes Matthew Broderick playing Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Director Michael D. Brown (who was in charge of the government's response to the disaster).

Dennis Quaid has been cast as President George W Bush in Katrina: American Crime Story. The Bush Administration and the government were widely criticized their lack of urgency and organization in their response to the Hurricane Katrina, one of the worst natural disasters in USA history. Executives are now looking to cast the parts of Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin.
