Google Pixel 2 Details Leak, Supersized Smartphones Will Outperform Galaxy S8

The Google Pixel 2 should quickly assert itself as one of the most powerful smartphones on the market, ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S8. This should however change with the Google Pixel 2.

As of now, the Connect 2.0 is available for Pixel and Nexus devices.

The specifications listed in the concept state that the Pixel 2 will feature a 5.6-inch QHD resolution with an AMOLED panel that's protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

The Pixel and Pixel XL have been out and about for a few months and even though a Pixel 2 model might not be far from us, the two phones continue to be some of the greatest handsets now available for purchase.

Having all three devices mentioned alongside the Pixel and Pixel XL further solidifies that these three new devices are the next upcoming Pixel devices from Google for 2017, all three devices having first been mentioned as the second-gen Pixel phones as of earlier this year. In the said website, the Taimen was seen carrying a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. Unfortunately, the single-core score of the Google Taimen has been quite disappointing for numerous mobile enthusiasts, since the device failed to fully match the performance of the Galaxy S8, according to a BGR report. The design of the Google Pixel 2 smartphones also include a dual cameras in the front and back.

Google's next-gen Pixel 2 smartphone, Taimen, has been spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench. There is a strong chance the Google will still improve on these numbers as the device gets nearer to its release date.

The Google Taimen also compared adequately to Sony's flagship for the year, the upcoming Xperia XZ Premium, beating the device in multi-core performance. The search giant can still turn around and either reduce or increase the price to its liking.
