According to an obituary in The Oregonian, Michael Garland Elliott's "earthly work concluded" on 6 April after Teresa Elliott informed him of the false news. He was born in Charlottesville, Va., in either 1940 or 1941 (he honestly didn't know!), and attended Lane High School, where he shined on the basketball court.
In Elliott's last moments, she phoned him at his OR home from her home in Austin, TX. I knew that would bring him comfort.
An Oregon man's "ex-wife and best friend" did just that, telling him that President Donald Trump had been impeached.

Though the pair divorced 20 years ago, Teresa Elliott said she always cared for Michael and would visit him often.
Ms. Elliott gave an interview to New York's Daily News newspaper where she described her former husband as a "news junkie", adding that he frequently voiced his dislike for President Trump, saying that Elliott "hated his effing guts".
GQ magazine's Jack Moore questioned the truthfulness of the story.
