Omaha is 2020 site for NCAA events in basketball, volleyball

Lindenwood becomes a destination for six national championships in 2020 - men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, lacrosse and softball.

OU's Lloyd Noble Center will host a women's gymnastics regional in 2019 and the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships in 2022, while the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club will welcome a women's golf regional in 2019 and a men's golf regional in 2020.

The gymnastics, field hockey, water polo and golf events will all be held on campus in Ann Arbor, while U-M will partner with the Detroit Sports Commission to host the wrestling championship at the new Little Caesars Arena in The District Detroit area.

OSU Cross Country will host a men's and women's regional in 2019, then the men's and women's championships in 2020. MI won in five of its previous host roles and advanced to NCAA Championship in seven.

"We are grateful to the NCAA for entrusting the University of MI to host these championship events", said Warde Manuel, the Donald R. Shepherd Director of Athletics. The site for that regional will be announced at a later date.

The University of Nebraska and Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority (MECA) will be the hosts of the Championship.

Omaha will be the volleyball championship site for the fourth time since 2006, the most of any host location. Omaha was previously selected to host the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight round of the men's basketball tournament in 2018.

The 2018 NCAA Championships will be held March 15-17 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Omaha also bid to host the NCAA Division I wrestling championships, but those will be in Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, St. Louis and Detroit the next four years.
