New England Patriots Tom Brady Will Not Visit White House

Although daily briefings with White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer occasionally end in fireworks, the Naval Reserve officer has earned a reputation for thinking on his feet and for running a tight ship.

Gronkowski jokingly asked Spicer whether he needed any help.

"I think I got this, but thank you", Spicer responded.

"Since Bob bought the Patriots in 1994, they've won more division titles, conference championships, and super bowl wins than any other team".

The White House is aware of "potential negative impacts" from a review ordered by Trump of whether lifting sanctions through the Iran nuclear deal was in USA national security interests, his spokesman says.

Trump took the opportunity to criticize television commentators, saying during the Super Bowl, "The pundits - good old pundits - boy, they're wrong a lot, aren't they?"

Kraft presented Trump with a personalized jersey and Belichick gave Trump a personalized helmet.

The Patriots visited the White House to celebrate their latest Super Bowl victory on Wednesday - but the event was a bit deflated without the team's biggest star.

The president, who has spoken about his relationship with Brady in the past, did not mention him during his speech.

Bill Belichick, Robert Kraft, and Brady have all admitted to being friends with Trump, so the Patriots feeling the need to combat the photo isn't a surprise.

A team spokesman said the Patriots were aware of the reports of Hernandez's death but the club wasn't expected to comment.

"He's becoming a pretty famous guy for winning, I'll tell you that", Trump said of Kraft, who was one of several National Football League team owners to donate $1 million to his inaugural committee.

After Gronkowski left the room, Spicer - who is a Patriots fan - laughed for a moment before regaining his composure.

While other players had suggested political reasons for not attending, quarterback Tom Brady, the game's most valuable player, said family matters kept him away.

"You pulled off the greatest Superbowl comeback of all time", Mr. Trump told the players.

His decision also comes hours after former teammate Aaron Hernandez, who was serving a life sentence for first-degree murder, was found hanged in his jail cell.

Sources tell Reuters a Russian government think tank controlled by Vladimir Putin developed a plan to swing the 2016 USA presidential election to Trump and undermine voters' faith in the American electoral system. People know how I feel about it.
