The new video game, available worldwide on November 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Origin for PC, flips the action and tells the story of what happened to the Imperial side after the second Death Star exploded in "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi".

As seen in the debut trailer above, the campaign follows a character named Iden Versio, an elite Stormtrooper who leads a special forces unit known as Inferno Squad. This means older characters will face newer characters.now the list includes Darth Maul, Yoda, Kylo Ren, Rey, and Luke Skywalker.

It seems that EA loved their work so much, that they brought Criterion Games onboard to help retool and redesign the space battles in the new Battlefront.

You can always rely on Mark Hamill to speak his mind and not jut wax lyrical when it comes to Star Wars, and this week he identified what he sees as one of The Force Awakens' weaknesses. Based on the trailer alone, Battlefront 2 is already looking far better than the first game. The story features "many of Star Wars' greatest characters" and spans 30 years.

2015's Star Wars Battlefront notably did not have a single player campaign. He was particularly asked about Rey's parents to which Johnson said that it's something which will be addressed in The Last Jedi. He added that in no way is this the end of what his team is doing in "Star Wars" animation. "How we address that and how you feel about it and what happens with that is one of them".

The last Star Wars Battlefront got its own PS4, so the sequel probably will, as well! These rewards will mainly consist of customization options that players can take into the 40-player online multiplayer battles, so even players that would typically avoid co-op modes may want to consider checking it out.
