New iPad Pro This 2017: Specs, Price, Release Date & What To Expect

Apple has given the $329 device a 9.7-inch screen, a brighter display, a faster chip along with 32 GB of storage, and operates via Wi-Fi.

It is important to note that this iPad Mini 4 with 128GB of storage is the exact same model that came out in 2015 and it continues to use the same 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 Retina display from the iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3. The iPad gets the more powerful Apple 64-bit A9 chip, a step up from the iPad Air 2 A8X chip. Apple will expand the new iPad's market availability in the following months, adding more countries in April and May. Dubbed as just the iPad, the new device comes in a cellular and a non-cellular variant and will be available in silver, gold and space gray colour options.

As per recent rumors, Apple has purportedly been gearing up to unveil its revamped iPad lineup.

iPad is not available yet but is expected to be available for order beginning this Friday, March 24th. The new iPad has the same display size, but is sold at the significantly lower starting price of $329. With a starting price of $329, the 9.7-inches iPad is flawless for people that want to get a taste of Apple's devices, but they are not ready to pay a fortune. The 32GB version shoots up to £469, while the 128GB edition hits £559.

Also by comparing the specs, there's no mention of an anti-reflective coating or laminated display on the new model. It has an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.2-MP front-facing FaceTime unit. Look own the specs list: on nearly every count it's worse than the (year-old, although admittedly still very expensive) iPad Pro 9.7-inch, including being mysteriously thicker and heavier despite not apparently fitting in any additional componentry. That's in large part, of course, because the Pro models are still relatively new and people hold onto their iPads for far longer than they do iPhones, so you'd expect to see a lot of older models still in use.

The major differentiator between the two tablets is the hardware that powers the two.

Quietly, and without the fanfare of a press event, Apple has announced its latest iPad, called simply "iPad". However, while these rumored iPad Pro 2 models may be quite a tempting treat to check out, they might not be all that easy on the pocket as prices could reportedly start from $600 to $800 on Apple Stores.
