But her brand may ultimately suffer in court!
Since Donald Trump took office, his eldest daughter has been an increasingly visible presence in the White House, where her husband, Jared Kushner, already serves as a senior adviser.
Now a San Francisco-based fashion company, Modern Appealing Clothing, is suing the Ivanka Trump label over "unfair competition". While the lawsuit doesn't cite particular instances, a potential example would be the brand promoting a bracelet that Ivanka wore on "60 Minutes" in December. "In order to avoid having the case dismissed early on, the plaintiffs have something of an uphill battle here, as they will have to prove that Trump's company planned to commit a crime (that is for the conspiracy charge) and also, that the brand has engaged in illegal, fraudulent, and/or "unfair" business practices".

Ivanka Trump and her "employees and agents have" been "exploiting the power and prestige of the White House for personal gain, including, but not limited to, piggy-backing promotion of defendant Ivanka Trump products on appearances at executive branch and other governmental events".
MAC is asking that California stops selling Ivanka's brand while it enjoys an allegedly unfair advantage.
