They wrote: "Keepers report continued giraffe calf cartwheels inside mom's belly!" April's calf has calmed down, a stark change from the active kicking and moving keepers have observed over the past couple of days.

While April's labor has been delayed for weeks, the zoo said her "appetite remains strong" and she is in a good health condition. That's a great sign and step in the right direction, according to her keepers.

"April is posturing quite a bit which is keeping us on our toes!" the park said.

Millions of online followers have been tracking the progress of April, a pregnant giraffe at Animal Adventure Park, a zoo in Upstate New York.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Animal Adventure Park is waiting for a few things to happen before they can confirm that April the giraffe is in labor.

"Giraffe Factoid:Giraffes have long thought to have been silent; however it was recently proven giraffes will hum to one another, outside of human hearing capacity range". One thing that they will be looking for is the point at which the wax caps to fall off her udders.

April has had three calves before and this is her first calf with her mate Oliver, who is now 5 years old. This often happens just before birth as a giraffe's body prepares itself for a soon-to-be suckling baby.

Animal Adventure Park began streaming on February 23 on YouTube showing April preparing to give birth, drawing worldwide attraction. The birth can last anywhere from several hours to several days. When the calf is born, there will be a vote to determine his or her name. An exact date and time of when April will be giving birth is still unknown.

When do you think April will welcome her calf?
